Summer Research Student Apprentice (3 Positions)

  • Supervisor: Science Instructor

  • Salary: Commensurate with Experience (Up to 40 hours/week)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processing pollinator DNA for sequencing.聽
  • Assist with NATURE Summer Camp Activities. (ND ACES)
  • Assisting with DNA library preparation of sequencing.聽
  • Performing quality control checks on DNA.聽
  • Assisting with the Lakota Winter Squash SGR project聽
    • Taking leaf spectral measurements.聽
    • Assessing photosynthesis rates in different treatment conditions.聽
    • Watering the raised beds聽
    • Processing soil samples for microbial DNA.
    • Planting and filling Raised Beds.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preference given to current students and those with prior research experience.
  • Commitment to professional standards of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills.
